Interstate “Solver” Gang Exposed in IBPS Clerk Exam 2025; 10 Arrested in Bijnor Operation

Lucknow— In a major breakthrough, the Bijnor Police team has successfully uncovered an interstate gang involved in unfair means in the IBPS Clerk Exam 2025, arresting 10 key accused and seizing incriminating evidence.

Operation Highlights:

  • Arrests: Anand Kumar, Gaurav Aditya, Harsh Joshi, Bhagirath Sharma alias Chandan, Sudhanshu Kumar, Dhananjay Kumar Saurabh, Rajiv Nayan Pandey, Mukesh Kumar, Ashish Ranjan, and one other previously arrested, Abhishek Kumar.

  • Seized Items: 16 mobile phones, 21 ATM cards, 9 Aadhaar cards, 7 PAN cards, laptops, tablets, photographs, ID cards, and approximately ₹1.53 lakh in cash.

  • Legal Action: FIR No. 290/25 registered under IPC Sections 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2) BNS, and the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.

Case Overview:
On October 5, 2025, exam authorities at the B.R. Exam Center in Bijnor alerted police about suspicious activity. IBPS had flagged a candidate using multiple photos across different years to appear for exams. Police immediately detained Abhishek Kumar, who had arrived to take the exam in place of candidate Gaurav Aditya. Further investigation led to the arrest of eight more gang members involved in similar activities across various centers.

Modus Operandi:

  • Mastermind: Anand Kumar orchestrated the scheme, arranging for fake candidates to sit in place of real candidates.

  • Collaboration with Brokers: Rohit, a broker, brought real candidates to Anand Kumar.

  • AI & Technology: Gang members used apps like MIXX, GRINDR, REMINI AI, ChatGPT, and FOTOR to merge faces and create a 70% resemblance between fake and real candidates.

  • Forgery: Aadhaar cards and other IDs were manipulated to deceive exam authorities.

  • Fees Charged: Anand Kumar reportedly charged ₹20,000 for preliminary exams, ₹1 lakh for mains, and up to ₹5.2 lakh per candidate to secure a job.
